I am a self employed attorney in Pittsburgh PA, a single mama of 5 wonderful kids & 5 fur babies
I am a deeply spiritual person, and choose to allow my experience and learning guide my practice of law, and my interactions with others. Perhaps I am not as rich as other attorneys, and I may not *have* as much as some, but in my heart, I am wealthy beyond measure, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my abilities in the law, and my passions spiritually, with others.
I have actually been doing this “barter” thing for quite some time—one of my first clients was a sweet elderly woman who couldn’t afford to have a Will written, but wanted to offer me what she was able... a huge basket of cucumber (my kids still remember eating cukes for a month straight!) and an old, short, scratched up dresser. Knowing she gave what she could, I took the dresser home, refinished it & it is now the buffet in my dining room. I think of her ever time I sit to eat with my family—she may not have had a fortune, but she has blessed my family every day. She was my first experience with a “barter” and I have to say I’ve made out on that trade every day!!
