Who should join Simbi?

Anyone willing to provide a useful skill or service is welcome on Simbi. You could provide a service that you currently do for a living, or something you do as a hobby. In other words, you just have to be good at it. You don’t have to have a PhD in developmental psychology to babysit, but we do expect you to have experience handling children.

What type of services are on Simbi?

No service, skill, or position is too small to be on Simbi. Whether you choose to provide marketing consulting, web design, or lawn mowing is up to you, but we’ll hold you to the same standards as we do anyone else. In short, you can offer any service you want so long as members are happy with what they get.

What’s the difference between Simbi & simbi?

When capitalized, Simbi refers to simbi.com as a community and a platform. When written all in lowercase, simbi are internal credits that act as currency on our site.

What’s the benefit of having a currency?

Earning simbi gives you the freedom to work with anyone in the community, on your own schedule. Most of us would rather earn simbi now so we can find a service we want later.

Can I convert my simbi to dollars?

No—simbi cannot be bought or sold with any other currency, and exist solely within Simbi.

How can I earn more simbi?

You can earn simbi by performing services for other members, and by completing actions that improve the experience of the entire community. For more ways to earn, visit simbi.com/earn

Is Simbi free to join?

Simbi isn’t just free to join, it’s a completely cashless marketplace. The Symbiotic Economy was designed for exchanging skills and services without having to spend cash. So keep your money—it’s no good here.

What roles are in high-demand?

  • Wellness professionals
  • Fitness instructors
  • Designers & illustrators
  • Photographers
  • Handymen/women
  • Web developers
  • Videographers
  • Business consultants
  • Writers & editors
  • Physical therapists

All skills and services are welcome on Simbi, if you don't see your role listed above—even better. Most people don’t know what they want until they see it.
