Design consultation

I am a high school marketing teacher with a background in graphic design. I can offer a discerning eye, suggestions, opinions, and design either conceptually or to finished product. Designing a logo is clearly more labor intensive than offering advice and opinions. On a daily basis I work with clients that I call students who have been told for years to be quiet and to wait for instructions. I am tuned to sitting with a teenager who thinks that what is in their mind and heart is worthless, boring, or ordinary. Many times their ideas are so clearly breathtaking and perfect I can barely contain my excitement. Other times they are so damaged by the world that getting them to take any risk is terrifying for the both of us, because they've been beaten down so many times before and because I'm so intent on refusing to be one more person inadvertently holding them back.
Training & Qualifications
I am a high school business and marketing teacher, proficient at encouraging teens to find their voice, their passion, and to stop waiting for instructions. I have years of experience in graphic design, I just lost my joy in getting paid for my work. The notion of doing whatever it took to get a paycheck just became, insignificant compared to the concept of creating and putting value into the world. I love the idea of offering my ideas and if they don't strike a chord, moving on, instead of fretting or frustration. I'm happy to finish a concept or to simply discuss direction and possibilities.
Availability & Preferences
I'm never available during traditional hours of operation, unless you are 17 years old and are one of my amazing students. I don't have a schedule of availability but prefer to interact digitally anyway.
