I am a Registered Nurse who values and promotes professional development in any form. Having worked in a number of different healthcare fields, such as Emergency Medical Services, Medical/Surgical Nursing, Intensive Care, Emergency Nursing, Correctional Care, and School Nursing, I have experienced a number of different fields, and have been working on enhancing and perfecting my skills in any way possible. Currently I am a Nursing Supervisor with Thompson Health, an Emergency Nurse with Rochester Regional Health, and a full time graduate student working on my Masters of Science in Nursing with a Public Health Emphasis. I am working continuously to improve my own skills and knowledge base in order to improve the healthcare world in any way possible.
While still early in my healthcare career, I have achieved multiple national certifications, including my Certified Emergency Nurse certification, and my board certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing. I have also achieved such certifications as Advanced Burn Life Support, Advanced Trauma Care Nursing, Emergency Neurological Life Support, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. I have also trained with FEMA and the Center for Domestic Preparedness to achieve Hospital Emergency Response Training and Mass Casualty Incident Training. With this education, and with the education I am receiving through my masters coursework, I hope to bring a new light to the healthcare world in a way that provides the best possible care, and the best possible life for the community around me.
