About Tia Terlaje

Tia is a graduate from the College of Professional Studies at Metropolitan State University of Denver. In Aug. 2016, she earned a BA - Journalism (Concentration: Public Relations) and a minor in Marke...ting. She also has an AA from the Community College of Denver. Tia is an expert travel professional with over a decade of experience in the U.S. airline industry. Her roles include gate/ticketing, reservations, and ramp service. In addition to her aviation career, she is a freelance writer working on various projects in the beauty and music industry. Her future endeavors include cosmetic consultation and becoming a contributing writer for both consumer and trade publications. She has several professional memberships including Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), Denver Press Club, Handmade Soap and Cosmetics Guild, Professional Beauty Association (PBA), and Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ). Community outreach is very important to Tia and she has a passion for helping others. As a volunteer at Rocky Mountain PBS in the Super School News program , Tia exhibits her skills and knowledge in the media with 5th & 6th graders in Colorado. With the support from family members and friends, she has collected and donated hundreds of beauty items and personal care products to various organizations in the Denver-metro area. The natural cosmetics industry created a huge interest to Tia and she began researching ingredients and formulations in college. Excited with all the information she obtained, she began creating recipes for her own handmade cosmetics and personal care products. She tailored each recipe for her own specific facial and body needs. Tia helps others who are interested in learning more about the beauty industry. Whether it is saving money or formulating for personal use, Tia hopes to connect with other beauty enthusiasts who share similar interests. Tia was born and raised on the island of Guam, the largest island of the Northern Marianas in Micronesia. She currently resides in Denver with her family. In her spare time, Tia enjoys volunteering, being in the company of loved ones, traveling to exotic destinations, and tasting new dishes and wines.show more
