Advice on infant sleeping
30
I will offer advice on getting infants to sleep. I can talk with pregnant women who are curious about how to get their baby to sleep once he's born or mom's who are already struggling with their babies sleeping. I think my practical advice is going to be easier to implement the younger the baby is, however, I don't think it will be impossible for older babies. It may just take more time.
I will ask you questions regarding current sleep habits, sleep schedules, feeding schedules, etc. and will give you my best advice on how to get your little one to sleep. If you're not already paying attention to these things, you should! It will help you, your baby, and me have a better idea of what your baby needs and when. I want to help you understand how important it is for your baby to sleep, for him and for you!
Training & Qualifications
When I was pregnant, I read the Babywise book. Several of my friends had read it and had great success with their children sleeping, so I thought I'd give it a try. My baby was sleeping 8 hours every night at 8 weeks old. He is now 9 months old and is sleeping 12-13 hours every night without waking up and has 2 regular naps every day. I believe all moms should do the Babywise schedule! When baby gets good sleep, so do you. When baby gets good sleep, he's happy. When you get good sleep, you can be a better mom for your little sweetie!
