Training & Qualifications
I have been playing Commander semi-consistantly for almost 11 years now (started in '06) and have played in a wide range of playgroups, from local PUGs at card shops and game stores, to regular kitchen table sparring matches with my closest friends. I have sat at the table with some of the most competitive decks in the format. I have shared belly laughs with many of the most ridiculous theme decks. I have watched in bitter envy as people cast their entire decks, and grumbled beneath the heel of a prison no one was able to break. I have saved players from lethal damage, and betrayed my best friends with pump spells and removal. I have slain Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, and his boss, with a well-placed Pthisis. I have been assassinated from within reach of victory by Door to Nothingness, and I have become One With Nothing both by force, and deliberately.
I have watched people cast an in-response Booster Tutor, only to open a Masterwork that does. Not. Save. Them.
