About Philippe Lalonde

In 2016, my wife and I embarked on a totally new lifestyle, which consists of splitting our time between home and abroad, House Sitting whenever we can. We get to care for people's pets and homes, in...tegrate new communities and fully immerse in new cultures, making new friends, discover new sights, taste new foods and learn new languages, along with the very pleasurable kickback of travelling the world and saving thousands in accomodation costs. A few years ago, we came to the realization that the daily grind of 9 to 5 just wasn't a good fit for us anymore and that we needed to reevaluate our options. We reflected upon what really made us happy and fulfilled; what the state of our financial situation was and weighed in everything. Once our choice was made, we lined up all the dominos so that we could reach our desired goal of taking back our time and seeing what the world has to offer. We downsized by selling the vast majority of our belongings, such as the house, the car, most of our furniture and kept only what we considered essential items and guilty pleasures, such as my mik frother and Bodum coffee maker! Fast forward a few years later, and here we are... homeless, jobless and never been happier! With Simbi, we hope that we can provide other subscribers with an opportunity to get involved themselves in the House Sitting community and reap the benefits of reaching out to people, bringing them peace of mind during their time away from home and building long lasting friendships.
