Talk to a Veteran
Whether you are a healthy veteran, one struggling with PTSD, reintegration, or just a friend or family member with questions, you may need someone to talk to about military life and the challenges that service members and their families face.
I spent six years in the military as part of the Ohio Army National Guard. I did multiple extended training stints, as well as a tour in Iraq in 2010. I understand how difficult coming home can be for some, and faced some issues myself that I learned to deal with.
Today I am as happy and healthy as I have ever been. I would love to be able to help even just one person who may be struggling with attachment, reintegration or PTSD issues. I am not a trained therapist or psychiatrist, so my aid should not take the place of talking to a professional. I am not an emergency responder, so if you need immediate help, please contact the Veteran’s Crisis Line toll free 24/7.
Training & Qualifications
I served in the military and did a tour overseas in a heavy combat area. I also have had family and friends serve and do multiple deployments. I have been through many counseling sessions for my own PTSD and went through a program called Save a Warrior which introduced me to some amazing ideas and a community of veterans who are all working together to find their inner peace.
I understand the challenges that military members and their families face, and can offer simple help and suggestions, or just listen.
