What can a common individual can do to bring more understanding and bridge the gap of cultural differences and misunderstandings? Well, ask a Tibetan ! Tibet was occupied between 1949-1959 during the rise of Mao Tsetung and communism. Over 100,000 Tibetans fled and became refugees in India. Tibetan diaspora is considered one of the most successful refugee community in the world and there is lot we can offer in our experience to help the refugees and those who care about this issue.
I will answer any question you have for a Tibetan. I was born in Tibet, grew up in India as a refugee with the rest of the diaspora.
Tibet is most famously known for the work of the 14th Dalai Lama to spread love and compassion and Tibet's non-violent political struggle to freedom from Communist China.
Tibet is also known for Tibetan Buddhism - a rich spiritual tradition of investigating mind and the nature of reality.
Tibet is perhaps also known for being the highest region on earth, home of Mount Everest and the Himalayas.
Training & Qualifications
Born in Tibet, Brought up in India, Blossoming in USA. Tibet is my root, my foundation. Because of this privilege of being born a Tibetan, I had access to boundless spiritual treasure at young age. Because of being brought up as a refugee - I also have the suffering of being a destitute and and experienced deprivation of material comfort. But at the end, we each are have to face our own confusion, our own biases and reckon with our own stories and face our own wisdom, our truth and the interconnectedness of all.
