Recommend a Holocaust Memoir
If you're interested in the Jewish Holocaust as I am, I'd love to recommend an excellent book on the subject. I can recommend:
- Memoirs of camp survivors of various ranks
- Memoirs of those who survived on the outside by hiding or concealing their true identities
- Accounts about the impact of the Holocaust on the following generations (both Jewish and German)
- Gripping fictional accounts
Just let me know what you're interested in and I'll be happy to give my best personal recommendation!
My interest is mostly in the experiences of those involved and less about the actual historical events of that period. So I may not be able to recommend a primarily historical text. However, rich history is weaved throughout the eyewitness testimonies of each survivor that lived to tell the world of this tragedy.
I look forward to pointing you in the direction of one of these gutwrenching page-turners.
