Every start-up or emerging small business needs a business plan; even if it is not the intention to grow or to scale. A well written business plan outlines a business' concept and methodology for internal and external stakeholders. From a business' financial potential to its working milestones and from expansion and partnership to the often unspoken exit strategy; a business plan is a multi-faceted tool that should be your businesses second major investment (The first being you.)
When a small business owner takes the first steps to writing a business plan, it is a deeply personal commitment of time. However, if not familiar with the process the online searches for templates, could potentially result in a very detailed legalese (read "long-winded and dry") document that no one wishes to read. I know from experience. That is where Randolph Rote comes in.
But remember, a business plan is personal, it directly reflects passion and commitment surrounding the business, so I shan't be writing it for you. Nor will I be handing over a cookie cutter template based on an archaic view of the industry (Yes, this happened to me, too!) I currently run my own business helping new and emerging nonprofits become grant ready and find funding opportunities. Before certifying in Grant Writing for Profit and Non-Profit Entities in 2014, my business focused on virtual administration tasks for a variety of clients. In combination with my work experience, I honed my research and academic writing skills earning my B.A. in Psychology.
I live and work in a variety of environments where opportunities for persuasive and/or comprehensive communication is key. I am conversationally fluid in ASL. I am certified by Internal Revenue Service to complete individual tax returns for the VITA and TCE programs. I am also ServSafe certified in food preparation and safety.
