Homeschooling Advice

I will discuss advantages and disadvantages of homeschooling, curriculum choices, how to homeschool on the road (roadschooling), unschooling options, and more. I will also offer suggestions on how to navigate the criticism that homeschooling parents often face, with grace and kindness, while still committing to your homeschooling goals.
While homeschooling sometimes is made into a controversial topic, it really isn't. Homeschooling is simply one of the many options available to provide education to children. There are many different homeschooling styles, from "school-at-home" setups to complete unschooling. The place where you live will make a difference in how (and sometimes if) you are allowed to homeschool. When I give you this advice, I will gladly research your region to provide the most accurate information.
Training & Qualifications
I am a former teacher who left the school board in favour of teaching my own children. I have been homeschooling my three children, born in 2010, 2012, and 2014, from the beginning (with the exception of 2 kindergarten months for my oldest).
My oldest child has very advanced language and reading skills for her age, while my middle child is on the autism spectrum, has ADHD, and Developmental Coordination Disorder. I work with each of my children at their level, and have learned o adapt to their needs, focusing on helping them develop a passion for learning, and pursuing their own interests.
I support all forms of education, and I especially support parents' rights in choosing education avenues for their children.
I have a Bachelor of Education in Physical and Health Education and English (Senior Division), as well as an Additional Qualification, primary (this degree and certification allow me to teach grades 4-12 in Ontario). I have also been teaching in one way or another since 1999.
