About Kate Craymer

I am a wife, mother, artist, seamstress, cook, cake decorator, crafter, yogi, ukulele playing hodgepodge! I'm looking to meet and share skills with my local community in particular. I think trading sk...ills is such an important part of bringing people together and growing a strong community. I have collected many skills through my life, odd and varied skills that I hope now have an outlet to be shared. Growing up in a small town I participated in 4-H Sewing and learned and competed in garment construction. I also attended a school of culinary arts receiving a two year completion certificate. During my instruction I competed in cake decorating. I then went on to spend two years studying art in college and minoring in French language. Though I didn't finish my degree, I now create art and logos for local businesses and run my own instagram for my art creations. I'm interested in learning more about digital art and using photoshop. I'd also love to learn photography, I envy people who so effortlessly capture life's beauty in a photograph. I have recently rediscovered my passion for sewing and have been sewing my own clothes and clothes for my children. I'm passionate about sustainability and encouraging people to build skills to reduce our disposable mindset. I am on a path to living plastic free, and want to encourage others to buy sell and share locally. I believe that minimalism is liberating and allows for us to more highly value our experiences and frees us from the burden of "stuff".
