Intro to Nutrition 101
This will not simply be a one-sided discussion where I expect you to accept everything I say. This will be an open discussion where we will walk through the basics of nutrition so that you can really understand why it's important for people to eat more than just meat. I want you to be able to easily understand all the info so a majority of what will be discussed are simple concepts and ideas that can easily be looked up and verified. For example, we will talk about the different types of nutrients, one of which is phytochemicals. While phytochemicals are not something a lot of people know about, there is information out there about them that can easily be found. We will no be discussing advanced topics such as the benefits of turmeric.
A cheat sheet and the slideshow used for the presentation will be provided.
The presentation and discussion should take about 30 minutes.
Training & Qualifications
I do a lot of nutritional research looking for the best ways to maximize nutrition in my diet. While I put a lot of focus on nutrition, I refuse to sacrifice flavor. If something doesn't taste very good, most people won't eat it no matter how nutritious it is. My goal is finding the right balance.
Availability & Preferences
I'm usually available in the evening (EST) on all days of the week but I'm flexible if the need should arise.
