I will teach anyone to use a loom ( learn about the loom, beads and history. About the thread types, how to start and add to the loom as well as beading techniques and easy fixes.) Will help you to make a finished beaded piece to keep and the knowledge to do it yourself afterwards. Beads, looms, string and needles are provided. Some traditional stories may accompany if requested, you must supply your own materials or connect with me to get them if we are doing this over the web but in person I will supply. We will go through a step by step process together to learn the steps required to start and finish setting up and stringing a loom. We will continue onto how to start your beading make your bead piece and finish it so it can be removed from the loom after we will talk about different ways to finish your piece.
Training & Qualifications
I have been doing beading my whole life with my family on the reserve I am girst nations from batchewana first nations from Sault Ste Marie Ontario. I teach courses for anissanaabe place in maple ridge, fraser river indiginous society and CCRR, I teach this in the woods sometimes and have overnight storytelling trips.
