I've been a caregiver since I was a child and may have some helpful ideas for tricky interactions. I also understand it can be overwhelming at times and am happy to listen if you need to vent.
While I am expanding my perspective on the topic, there may be background noise and brief pauses since I'm solo providing for my children 24/7. I'm doing home based schooling with 5 of my kids this year.
Training & Qualifications
I grew up helping my slightly younger sister who had down syndrome, cognitive and speech deficits.
I'm a mother to a child very much like my sister, and another who is on the autism spectrum.
For a year and a half I was a live in care provider to a child with cerebal palsy I loved like a son.
The majority of my gainfully employed situations have been in geriatric care positions.
Currently I also get to have the experience of having spinal stenosis from degenerative disc disease and am recovering from an acl and meniscus reconstruction, so I guess I could comment from that angle too 😅
Availability & Preferences
Between 3pm-4pm, 6pm-8pm, and some mornings before 8 and evenings after 10.
